As a voice over artist she’s performed several commercials for EVERYTOWN, a series regular in the animated pilot VETERINAUTS, and recurring in the scripted podcast ELLIE AND THE WAVE with Natalie Morales. Chalk's first feature as producer and actor, OUR DEADLY VOWS, the STARZ original made its theatrical debut in July 2023, and is currently available on AMAZON.

Tyler Young is a journalist turned filmmaker from Greenville, SC. She earned her B.A. in Mass Communication from Winthrop University. Tyler produces unscripted and scripted content including Gaps, a coming-of-age NAACP Image Award-nominated short film presented by Queen Latifah’s Queen Collective program in partnership with Tribeca Studios and Procter & Gamble.
Tyler began her career at Hearst Television and became a morning news producer in Charlotte, N.C. She took a leap of faith in 2015 by leaving the newsroom and entering the documentary space. Tyler has produced historical and social justice documentaries for VICE, Prime Video, and PBS. Her credits include the 2021 Emmy and Peabody-nominated documentary film Downing of a Flag.
Tyler is a 2023 Project Involve alum at Film Independent, where she wrote the short film Saving All My Love. Tyler’s screenplay, Body Count, is an Academy Nicholl screenwriting quarterfinalist. Episode 1 PILOT - Introduction to Amanda’s world living with her father and step mom and attending a new catholic school.
Episode 2 - Preparing for the dance. Hair disaster. Getting makeup done at the Fashion Fair counter at Belk and looking like an old powder face woman. Ashy.
Going to the end of the year formal not prom. It’s the day after the real prom this is a party for all the babies and losers that didn’t get invited. Amanda picks out what she’s going to wear. Who she will go to the dance with? Who she WANTS to go with? A postcard she got from her mother's holiday travels.

Episode 3 - Amanda’s Revenge. She’ll mention extended family (Grandma’s hoarder house is funky), protesting Bible camp What will Amanda do this summer? Get a job? Go to a camp or is she too young? Maybe she’ll just rot in her room all summer? Her goals (Get bigger breasts, save money, ride every ride at carowinds at least ones, get her first kiss, get in shape for cheerleading, wants a water bed, Making the Band - a girl group, she wants to be a featured dancer on__________,Say What Karaoke). Teases family vacation with Jonica. She is going to buy some coochie cuters at Wet Seal. Stepmom thinks Jonica is a bad influence (Cassandra says Jonica is going to get pregnant)
Episode 4- Amanda goes on family vacation with Jonica’s family. They got matching henna tattoos and wore matching outfits (Amanda did not like this). But Jonica kissed a random boy/man that they met on the strip and this makes Amanda uncomfortable. She let Jonica pierce her belly button. She winds up in the ER with a bad infection.

Episode 6 - Goals for the 10th grade. Get kissed. Have almost sex. Choose to like white boys. Size them all up. Ignacio’s family is from Peru but he looks white does he count?
Episode 7 - Amanda joins the cheerleading squad and they go to a competition in Florida.
Episode 8- Christmas break with family can feel like the wild wild west on her Mama’s side of the family. On her dads side of the family, they just watch sports all day and no one talks to each other. All their food comes from cans even the collard greens.
Future SEasons
Season 2: Amanda is a sophomore whose life dramatically shifts with the 9/11 attacks. Amanda's parents become ultra-heightened about her whereabouts. Somehow, she manages her first kiss and becomes the talk of the school for dating outside of her race.
Season 3: Amanda gets her driver's license and manages to run the town before the street lights come on. She got a little cash in her pocket and starts to rebel in new ways, but when her grandmother dies, Amanda is now forced to cope with a new emotion...grief.
Season 4: Amanda prepares for graduation and makes future plans. She's moving to New York to pursue her biggest Broadway dreams. Her mom returns with a hard-to-pass-up offer.
